Rules for the Hungry Sheep system
- intensive rotation with all plots in either crop or sheep production
- minimum of 20% of area with medic pasture for sheep; rest of area in crop
- no long fallow
- stocking rate decisions to be made by the end of May and must be maintained with supplementary feeding if required
