Research is conducted at five sites: Birchip, Sea Lake, Charlton, St Arnaud and Marnoo.
BCG enjoys another successful year. More than 3500 people attend our events this year. Our activities include six public and member field days at BCG sites, including one day organised especially for women and one dedicated to herbicide resistance. The theme of our Main Field Day is ‘Know your limitations’, held at the properties of Laurie Smith and O’Connors on the Sunraysia Highway. A seminar for young farmers is held, entitled 2020 Vision.
Membership grows to more than 500 family members, we develop a new logo and produce our first coloured manual, distributed free to 6000 farmers in four states.
