BCG banks on a bumper year
Arguably the most important lesson to come out of last season was how important it is for farmers and farm businesses to have an honest, open and understanding relationship with their bank managers. The financial impact of last year's drought is far from over, making it equally important this year that money is at the forefront of everyone's minds.
In recognition of this, BCG offered all of the major banks a unique opportunity to sponsor the group. This was done for two reasons:
- To provide farmers and farming business with convenient and comprehensive access to the wealth of expertise and experience possessed by bank employee in our region,
- To assist the group, also feeling the financial effects of the drought, in maintaining quality trial, research and extension activities in 2007.

The 2007 BCG Grains Research Expo is the first event on this year's calendar where farmers can come and experience the benefits of BCG's banking sponsors being in the one convenient location. The theme for this year's Expo is 'Decisions into Dollars' with our aim being to help farmers in the region increase their profitability by $10 per hectare.
