Pest Identification will be one of the key features of the Expo. Farmers will be able to talk to Dr Ken Henry and Dr Judy Bellati from SARDI, crop entomology unit about any insect issues on their farms. The Expo will provide the perfect opportunity for farmers to bring along any insects or pests that they might be having trouble identifying or insects they would like to confirm the identity of. Judy and Ken will have microscopes set up on site to help with the identification process. At the Expo, Ken and Judy will also be encouraging local farmers to sign up to a more in depth pest identification and information newsletter that is produced throughout the growing season, called PestFacts. More information
How to hone your negotiating skills will be another key feature of the Expo. Paddy Spruce, is a Professional Negotiation trainer, MC, Facilitator and Training Professional that has been awarded the highest level of accreditation awarded by the National Speakers Association. Paddy will present two discussion sessions at the Expo on how to achieve successful negotiation results. He will cover topics such as how to make an excellent first impression, how to achieve a win-win result, how to build trust, choosing the right negotiating style to fit the situation, using the stages of a negotiation to your advantage, identifying currencies that are valuable to others and the behaviour of successful negotiators.
