BCG Women's Agronomy Group study livestock
Sheep and lambs will be the focus of the upcoming BCG Women’s Agronomy Group meeting next Thursday 10 June at BCG. Containment area feeding, balancing minerals, digestive systems and considerations when selling lambs are all topics for discussion. In addition, the meeting will provide valuable information on management of pregnant and lactating ewes through the coming months due to feed shortages as a result of locust damage.
Nicole Care, from Ridley AgriProducts and Amy Martin from DPI (Swan Hill) will be the guest speakers for this event.
The BCG Women’s Agronomy Group (WAG) is open to all ladies involved in farming in our region, irrespective of their membership with BCG.
‘WAG is a terrific BCG initiative' said Margaret O’Keefe, BCG Corporate Relations and Events Manager. 'Our meetings are always good fun, we have a delicious lunch and work hard to create a supportive learning environment. Women involved in farming are often looking for some extra support, for some more detailed information; through these meetings we are able to provide that.’
The June Women’s Agronomy Group meeting is at the BCG conference room on Thursday 10 June commencing at 10.00am; the meeting finishes at 2.00pm. Cost for attending is $10 which includes lunch. For bookings please contact BCG on (03) 5492 2787.
