BCG Grains Research Expo Dinner lures Professor Tim Reeves

Professor Tim Reeves is the special guest speaker at the upcoming BCG Grains Research Expo dinner on Wednesday 2nd July at the Birchip Leisure Centre. ‘We are delighted to have secured such a high profile speaker said BCG Chairman Ian McClelland’. We are very excited about his presentation titled “Tomorrow’s Agriculture – the New Drivers of Change”. ‘Tim is a dynamic speaker whose passion for agriculture is infectious’.

Tim Reeves has worked for 39 years in agricultural research, development and extension, mostly focussed on sustainable agriculture in Australia and overseas.He was a pioneer of no-till research in NE Victoria, whilst based at the Rutherglen Research Institute.
His professional career includes positions in the Department of Agriculture, Victoria; Foundation Professor of Sustainable Agricultural Production, Adelaide University (1992-95) and Director General of the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre based in Mexico (1995-2002).
He is a Board Director of GRDC and a former President of the Australian Society of Agronomy and holds many high profile positions on leading advisory Boards and Councils in Australia and worldwide.
