BCG women tackle another tough seasonBCG will be holding its next Women’s Agronomy Group meeting on Friday 14th July. The meeting will feature a range of guest speakers specifically chosen to reflect the current challenging season.
Elwyn Witney, head of the counselling department at the Swan Hill District Hospital, will address the issues surrounding 'coping with another difficult season'. Elwyn has many years experience in assisting women survive testing times. Complimenting Elwyn will be Commonwealth Bank advisor, Vivian Hiscock, and BCG Finance Manager, Janice Kelly, who will discuss financial management. Fiona Best, also from BCG, will facilitate a session on understanding crop growth stages.
The Women’s Agronomy Group was formed in March this year to create a friendly, approachable and social environment for rural women whilst also establishing a strong support network and educating ladies about the technical side of farming.
The Women’s Agronomy Group meeting will be held on Friday 14th July at the BCG Conference Room, Cumming Avenue, Birchip, from 10am to 2pm. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by contacting Margaret on 03 5492 2787 or by email.
