Soil Anaysis Guide
To achieve accurate simulations, all Yield Prophet paddocks MUST be sampled to full potential rooting depth (at least 1m) PRIOR TO SOWING. Soil cores must be segmented in a minimum of four layers (eg. divided into sections of 0-10, 10-40, 40-70, 70-100cm depths).
Soil analysis costs are dependent on the analysis that your paddock requires and the soil testing laboratory used. Yield Prophet recommends the use of IPL laboratories. The soil analyses required will depend on whether your paddock has previously been used in Yield Prophet. Tables 1 and 2 below show the analysis required for Yield Prophet paddocks, the recommended depth intervals and the costs associated with the analysis at IPL, SGS and CSBP Laboratories.
Attached are soil analysis instruction and forms for sending samples to the IPL, SGS and CSBP laboratories. Please choose where you would like your samples to be analysed and follow the instructions related to that laboratory. These laboratories are suggestions only, all growers are free to get their samples to a laboratory of their choosing.
