Soil testing information
Soil test information is an essential component of Yield Prophet simulations. The soil test results generated provide a framework for the simulation of root growth and determination of the resources available to the crop. The soil sampling guide and the soil analysis guide provide all the necessary information about soil testing for new and existing Yield Prophet subscribers.
Soil sampling guide
To ensure accurate simulations, it is necessary to take due care when taking the samples, increasing the likelihood of accurate soil test results being returned. Inaccurate soil test results can be a major cause of reduced simulation accuracy. The soil sampling guide outlines the steps necessary to you receiving accurate soil test results.
Soil analysis guide
To achieve accurate simulations, all Yield Prophet paddocks MUST be sampled to full potential rooting depth (at least 1m) prior to sowing, preferably in March or early April.
There are two costs associated with obtaining soil test results for Yield Prophet paddocks; soil sampling and soil analysis costs. These costs are detailed in the soil analysis guide.
