The BCG team have started cutting vetch for hay yield estimates in the southern Mallee. Studenica (quickest variety sown) was cut on the 6/9 after a 27/4 sowing date, preliminary yield 3.8 t/ha. Other varieties will be cut in coming weeks as they reach flat pod.
