BCG Board Meeting Update

Views

The BCG Board Meeting on June 24th was the first following the AGM and as such included the election of officers. After 18 years as Treasurer, John Ferrier has stepped down and Noel Meney takes over this important role. As a CPA, registered auditor and a managing partner in Poole & Associates, Noel will bring specific knowledge and years of experience to the growing finance needs and responsibilities of BCG.

We have been very fortunate to have John’s support and guidance over the last 18 years. He has helped to build the organisation and, apart from one year, managed the finances from the group’s inception to the much larger one it is today. With his depth of farming business knowledge and calm and patient approach, John has kept a steady hand on the finances. Fortunately, his regular visits to the office and availability for a quick question or advice to the new CEO will continue, as John intends to remain on the Board.

Andrew Weidemann continues as Vice Chair. With his multiple roles and contacts across the grains industry, he is able to represent the BCG team and recommend future action..

Ian McClelland has accepted the role of Chair for one more year, although he is determined that this will be the last!  He will take us through our 19th and into the 20th year before handing over the reins.

The other members of the board are: Brian Barry, Rodney Mitchell, Leo Delahunty, Caroline Welsh, Nigel NcGuckian and Michelle Allan If you wish to see the board member profiles.
