BCG has welcomed new Swan Hill based business Farm360 as a corporate partner.
Farm360, which is a Poole’s initiative, is a farm management service that combines agronomy with financial experience to facilitate the development of the businesses strategic direction and on-going management.
Led by former BCG research agronomist Simon Craig, the aim of Farm360 is to put the right people around the table that will provide the best advice for the farm business, keeping in mind both its short term needs and long term goals.
BCG CEO Chris Sounness officially welcomed Farm360 to the BCG sponsorship stable at last month’s Future Farmers Expo.
Mr Sounness said Farm360 and BCG were a good match as both organisations were focused on improving the prosperity of farmers.
“We look forward to working more with Simon and the Farm360 team to deliver positive outcomes for our members and farmers in our region,” he said.
As a long-time employee of BCG Mr Craig said he was equally thrilled at the prospect of being able to partner BCG and continue to support members.
“I’m looking forward to being able to continue to work with BCG team and their members, and relish the opportunity to continue to help Wimmera and Mallee farm businesses reach their potential,” he said.
“In conjunction with the farm business partners, Farm360 draws upon a team of agronomy, business and financial specialists, to develop farm business goals, review individual benchmarking data, plan rotations around minimizing risk, make cash flow projections and estimate farm profitability.
“Farm advisory boards, succession planning and feasibility studies (farming system analysis, land and machinery purchases) are also offered through the service.”
