CSIRO’s Director of Agriculture and Food is guest speaker at BCG’s 2021 Chair’s Breakfast on Thursday 12 August in Birchip.
Dr Michiel van Lookeren Campagne, will address the audience regarding the CSIRO’s vision to solve Australia’s greatest challenges through innovative science and technology and how it applies to growers in the Wimmera, Mallee and North Central regions of Victoria.
“In Australian agriculture, the CSIRO has played an important role in developing farming practices and grains research. BCG has a strong relationship with the organisation including the development of Yield ProphetTM, a real time decision support tool for farmers,” said BCG Board Chair, John Ferrier
“We’re delighted to see the return of the BCG Chair’s Breakfast in 2021 and to welcome Dr van Lookeren Campagne to our region” Mr Ferrier added.
Attendees will be treated to a sumptuous breakfast prepared by renown chef and BCG Board Member Stefano de Pieri. Mr de Pieri is a planning a meal made from local produce.
The event is open to the public however registration is essential for COVID safe and catering purposes.
