Come solo and meet some new friends\, or bring a group and dance the night away. Everyone 18+ is welcome. We can’t wait to see you there! \nTickets include champagne on arrival\, drinks sponsored by Nutrien Ag Solutions Boort\, canapes and entertainment throughout the evening\, professional photographs by Laura Hoye Photography\, and a Young Farmer Network stubby holder. \nPlease advise of any dietary requirements or ticket name changes. Tickets are non-refundable. \nAccommodation \nWe encourage you to book a room for the night so you can continue to enjoy the region the next day. Please use code ‘farmer’ when booking. \nInglewood Motel- offering a discounted rate if you call up to book\, and mention ‘BCG Young Farmer Network Ball’. \nThere are also plenty of accommodation options along the three bus routes. \nTransport \nReturn bus transport is available for $30. \nBus 1: BOOKED OUT Birchip to Bridgewater\, departing from 5:30pm with stops in Wycheproof\, Charlton\, Wedderburn\, and Inglewood. \nBus 2: Boort to Bridgewater\, departing at 5pm with stops in Durham Ox\, Bears Lagoon\, and Serpentine. \nBus 3: Bendigo to Bridgewater\, departing at 5:45pm with stops in Maiden Gully\, Marong and Derby. \nRegistered attendees will be contacted to advise of pick up and drop off locations and exact arrival times closer to the event. \nDress Code \nThe dress code is strictly formal\, or optional black tie. \nThis means a suit or tuxedo\, a cocktail dress or gown. \nEntertainment \nNutrien Ag Solution Boort Happy Hour entertainment will be provided by Mallee acoustic duo\, Taina & Talei Brooks\, followed by an evening of music with all the classics from local band ‘The Shorts’. \nAttendance \nAnyone 18+ is invited to attend! DESCRIPTION:Following the completion of BCG’s project ‘Building drought resilience of vulnerable soils in low rainfall cropping and grazing systems’\, we invite you to join Dr Yolanda Plowman\, Senior Research Manager to discuss the results. \nYolanda will share the findings from the Managing Vulnerable Soils project\, alongside soil expert Dr Cassandra Schefe from AgriSci. \n \nAt the event\, hosted by Agriculture Victoria and Mallee Sustainable Farming\, we will examine a soil pit and explore results and observations from these sites which look at the value of using bentonite clay and compost for soil improvement. \nFree lunch will be provided. \nPlease visit the Agriculture Victoria website to register.
