BCG is pleased to welcome Brady Paley to the team in the position of Technical Officer.
What is your background?
I grew up in Birchip and moved to Dimboola to do VCAL in 2017, returning at the end of 2019 with a Certificate II in Engineering. I was proud to graduate top of my class and came back to Birchip to work on my Pa’s farm.
Since then, I’ve been doing farm work and have experience driving trucks, sowing, spraying, doing sheep work and vehicle maintenance.
What is your role at BCG and what will you be doing?
My role at BCG is Technical Officer, and I’ll be helping to maintain vehicles to minimise breakdowns during operations to maximise our team’s productivity. I’ll also be helping to maintain our trials by sowing, harvesting, spreading and spraying.
What about the role interested you in applying?
I was recommended to apply for this role by a current BCG staff member, and upon further investigation I realised it was a great opportunity to utilise a broad range of my skills. I’m looking forward to continue working in the agriculture industry and for the work I do to benefit many farmers across the region.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, welding, building things, playing video games, and playing football for Birchip Watchem.
What are you looking forward to whilst working at BCG?
Whilst working at BCG I’m looking forward to the opportunity to travel to different towns and be involved with trial operations from the ground up. I’m excited to be a part of BCG’s growth as a leading farming systems group and seeing the work we do making real-world impacts on farms across the region.
