Thomas joined BCG in October 2022 as a Research Agronomist. He hails from Quantong, 10km of Horsham in the Wimmera and prior to joining BCG, he completed a Bachelor of Science through Federation Universities online where he focused on chemistry while completing agricultural electives. He conducted research projects surrounding pharmaceutical pollution in rivers and its effects on the surrounding environment and the impacts of using treated wastewater on irrigated crops along the Wimmera River which was the first of its kind in the area. Thomas enjoys the diversity of the research that BCG undertakes, and he enjoys talking with farmers to better understand their needs to inform his research. In his spare time, Thomas enjoys woodworking, fishing, watching most sports and spending time outside.
