What is your role at BCG and what will you be doing?

I am a Communications Officer at BCG. I will be doing what I can to find innovative ways to share the research that the BCG staff work tirelessly on. I will be working with Louisa and the rest of the BCG team on communicating the wide range of interesting activities that involve BCG staff.

What is your background?

I grew up on a dairy farm in the Western District and then the Goulburn Valley. My family all now reside in Shepparton. I have studied a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science both with LaTrobe University. I held a similar position at a grower group like BCG called the Liebe Group in Western Australia.

Where do you live?

I live in Quambatook. I have been living there for the past 4 and a half years.

What are your interests outside work?

I am a beekeeper; I love all things bees and enjoy presenting workshops on the basics of beekeeping. I occasionally volunteer at the Quambatook District Share Shop, where I sell my honey and other products. I also love to travel the world.

Are you looking forward to anything in particular during your time at BCG?

I am looking forward to developing the BCG story and meeting all the wonderful farmers I hear so much about. I love the role of women in agriculture, whether it is as farmer, wife or adviser, and would love to see how we can all encourage each other.
