On Friday March 15, BCG will be hosting the inaugural Young Farmer Network Ball at the Bridgewater Hotel in Bridgewater on Loddon, VIC. Farmers and their partners, friends, family, and employees, as well as industry and community are invited to attend.
The picturesque setting of the Loddon River sets the stage for appreciating the beauty of the landscape where we both work and reside. It offers an ideal environment for networking and celebrating the work of young individuals engaged in agriculture within our community. Beginning at 6:30 pm, highlights of the evening include entertainment by the locally renowned band, The Shorts, alongside insightful conversations with Lavinia Wehr and Elly Stevens of Ag Social, who will share their journeys in forging careers in agriculture.
Tickets are $70 per person, inclusive of delicious canapes throughout the night, a Young Farmer Network stubby holder, and professional photographs by Laura Hoye Photography.
To create an inclusive event that brings together young farmers from across north-western Victoria, return buses will be operating from Durham Ox, Birchip and Bendigo.
Join us for a night of dancing and entertainment, delicious food and drinks, and an opportunity to network, socialise, and celebrate the achievements and contributions of young farmers in the agricultural community.
The meaning behind the ball
This new event was inspired by BCG’s commitment to fostering the growth and development of young farmers who play a crucial role in shaping the future of agriculture. Event organiser, Grace Hosking, highlighted the importance of this event.
“We are excited to provide an opportunity to celebrate the invaluable contributions of young people to our community. Their innovation, dedication and passion will ensure that our region continues to flourish for decades to come.”
“We invite all members of the community to join us in a night of recognition, appreciation, and inspiration, as we highlight the achievements and potential of our youth in agriculture.”
Onwards from 2024, the ball will be held annually in alternate locations across the North Central, Wimmera and Mallee regions.
