Join us at Birchip for a paddock session to explore soil compaction and deep ripping as a tool to alleviate constraints, as part of our four-year paddock-scale stubble management project.
When: Wednesday 25 June, 9:00am – 11:00am
Where: Foott’s silos, Sunraysia Highway, 4km west of Birchip
The discussion will cover the paddock history, strategies to overcome this issue that have been considered or put in place, and initial soil test results.
We will be joined by local agronomists Tom Lord (AgriVision Wycheproof) and James Considine (Nutrien Berriwillock). Light snacks will be provided.
This event is run as part of the MCMA DAFF funded soil project – Sus Ag Climate Smart Agriculture Program which was: Farmers are supported to drive agricultural growth, while adopting sustainable NRM practices that protect soil.
