Optimising Spray Application Workshop

Don’t miss the opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading spray application experts, Craig Day, in the Mallee for a comprehensive workshop on best-practice spray techniques. With nearly 30 years of experience, Craig has become one of the most highly sought-after trainers in chemical spray application.

This free workshop is sponsored by Grain Growers and will cover best practice spray application elements including:

  • Nozzle selection, surfactants, pressures, spray quality, ISO standard
  • Water quality
  • Weather conditions, inversions, weather monitoring technology
  • Spray planning- standard, pulse width modulated/3TS
  • Fenceline spraying- best practice- hormesis: sub-lethal dosing consequences
  • Decontamination- best practice protocol, catch points, managing spray jobs to minimise risk

There is also the opportunity for local farmers to book in an additional 1:1 on-farm visit with Craig on either Wed 12 or Thurs 13 Feb (maximum of 4 visits per day). Each visit will last for approximately 1.5 hours and the investment is $650 + GST. The visit involves Craig’s assistance in formulating personalised spray plans, as well as testing/calibration and fine tuning of machines.
