BCG have locked in a date for the Annual BCG Industry Crop Walk. A free interactive agronomy focused event hosted by BCG designed to provide Agronomists with new product knowledge
The event is aimed at Wimmera-Mallee agronomists with a focus on relevant commercial and member funded trials.
Agronomy groups are able to view ‘in-paddock’ treatment results, presentations and Q&A’s with a representative from the funding groups.
This is a unique opportunity for agronomy teams to grow knowledge and share ideas, or to register as an independent agronomist and network and learn alongside other independent registrants.
Trials On Display
University of Adelaide Associate Professor Dr Gurjeet Gill will present on a trial researching integrated weed management practices for brome grass management in canola trial.
Representatives from FMC will be on-hand to provide information relating to the trial testing new grass pre-emergent herbicide options for wheat, barley and canola.
ADAMA will be showcasing the treatment trial on new grass weed pre-emergent chemistry for use in pulses.
A Nufarm trial is being undertaken, testing pre-emergent and in-crop chemistry for use in Kingbale (IMI tolerant) oats.
Additionally, two BCG member-funded trials will be presented by BCG Staff. The first, a herbicide matrix looking at the responses of different crop types to the herbicide and adjuvant mixes. The second a trial on barley scald and SFNB management through seed and foliar applied fungicides.
RSVP’s for this event are required and group numbers may be restricted to comply with COVID-19 state guidelines. Please contact 03 5492 2787 or firstname.lastname@example.org to register yourself or your team.
Expressions of interest are also sought from farmers interested in attending the crop-walk as part of a grower group.
