BCG Farmer Ball goes rural

The BCG Farmer Network Ball is returning for its fourth year, with a fresh look and a new location, as the popular event heads to Sea Lake for the first time.

Moving away from last year’s regional location in Horsham, BCG shifted the event to a smaller country town following feedback from attendees wanting to directly support and celebrate local rural communities. The highly anticipated black tie evening will take place at the Sea Lake Community Complex on Friday, February 12, 2027, where the indoor stadium will undergo a transformation into an elegant space, bringing together growers and industry professionals from across the region for an evening of celebration and connection.

Supported by the Foundation for Rural Regional Renwal and the Vic Drought Hub, the ball aims to tackle the challenges of drought and climate variability through the power of community connection. By bringing the next generation of farmers together, the event works to build the long term relationships, professional confidence, and shared knowledge to navigate an increasingly variable climate.

Designed for the youngest generation working in the agriculture industry, the Ball provides an opportunity to build meaningful connections that can be drawn on throughout their careers. At BCG, we recognise the importance of strong connections in building a resilient agricultural community. We understand that a successful and resilient farming business relies just as much on strong support networks, shared experiences and connections with peers as it does on sound business decisions and technical knowledge.

The event has fast become a priority fixture on the local social calendar, moving its location every year to bridge connections across Victoria’s diverse grain growing footprints following the success of the inaugural ball in Bridgewater, Swan Hill and Horsham.

This year’s entertainment features live music from The Robbie Harts, alongside a tailored menu catered by local favourites, The Juke. To enhance networking options, guests are able to nominate group seating preferences when ordering tickets, while individual ticket holders will be integrated into tables designed to spark new industry connections.

Coming off the back of three consecutive sold out years, the continued success of the event highlights the immense drive, leadership, and community spirit active within the emerging generation of the Australian agricultural workforce.

Early bird tickets are now available for purchase via the BCG website. Industry professionals, growers, partners, and community members are encouraged to gather their friends and secure their spots as this event will sell out!
