Lock it in your calendars! The 2020 BCG Trials Review Day offers a great opportunity for growers and advisors to get a jump on the cropping and livestock season ahead.
On Friday 14 February at the Birchip Community Leisure Centre, BCG members will be able to discuss the latest results from locally-conducted research with the people who manage the trials and conduct the analysis.
Preparations are well underway for what is sure to be an excellent day. BCG staff feature heavily in the program and will present on topics including seeder performance and crop establishment and cereal, pulse and canola variety performance.
Associate Professor of Animal, Plant and Soil Sciences at La Trobe University, Dr James Hunt, will be presenting results on a nitrogen systems trial conducted at Curyo.
There will also be the regular ‘Farmer to Farmer Learning’ panel featuring two BCG members, plus insect resistance management, aerial black leg management and much more.
Members have the opportunity to join in the discussion and catch up with a network of growers and industry representatives, they can also pick up a copy of the 2019 BCG Season Research Results compendium, a members-only publication which BCG staff are currently busy writing.
The BCG Trials Review Day is a members-only event, with lunch and refreshments included. Non-BCG members can purchase memberships prior to, or on the day.
