- Rosalind and Fathom were the highest yielding varieties in both sowing times.
- The protein, screenings and test weight were within Malt specifications for all varieties in both sowing times.
- One time of sowing did not result in better yields than the other unlike in previous year’s research.
- Lodging was greater in time of sowing one and Compass and Commander were most affected.
- Further analyses of the this time of sowing trial will be undertaken and presented in the 2016 Season Research Results compendium.
