The year that was 2016 has been busier than ever at BCG with more trials sown and events staged than ever before.
The season is now culminating with one of the biggest harvests ever experienced at BCG.
An increase in trial sites from 30 in 2015 to 43 in 2016, combined with the excellent growing season rainfall, has resulted in a slower than normal harvest period, but one which is delivering some excellent results.
BCG project manager Louisa Ferrier recently caught up with researchers Kelly Angel and Cam Taylor, and extension officer Jemma Pearl, to discuss the harvest, reflect on the busy year and provide insight into a range of exciting projects and events coming up in 2017.
