BCG is inviting farmers from across the region to attend an informative and interactive workshop focused on the fundamentals of cashflow budgeting and how it can strengthen farm business decision-making in 2026 and beyond.

The workshop will be held on Thursday 28 May from 9.00am to 12.30pm at the BCG Conference Room, 73 Cumming Avenue, Birchip.

Presented by Planfarm representatives Greg Kuchel and Daniel Toohey, the session will explore how growers can use cashflow budgeting as a practical tool to better understand their business position, respond to changing seasonal conditions and plan with greater confidence.

Participants will learn who cashflow budgeting is for, how often it should be reviewed, how it can be adjusted if the season changes, and how it can support clearer conversations with family members, business partners and advisers involved in key farm decisions.

The workshop will include practical tools and worked examples that participants can apply immediately within their own businesses. It is designed as an introduction to the concepts, with no requirement for attendees to share their own financial information.

The event is part of a series of workshops supported by the GRDC RiskWi$e initiative, which aims to build growers’ skills and confidence in making sound financial decisions in an increasingly volatile operating environment. GRDC’s RiskWi$e initiative is led nationally by CSIRO, with BCG leading the Victorian Action Research Group.

The event is free to attend, with morning tea and lunch provided. Registration is essential, RSVP now!
