The Birchip Cropping Group (BCG) is encouraging farmers across the Wimmera Mallee sign up to become members and be part of the innovation that is BCG.
Established and managed by farmers, the organisation has built a 28 year legacy, ensuring relevant agricultural research is being carried and timely information is available to farmers.
BCG research sites, field days, crop walks, expos, workshops, webinars, and hands on diagnostics schools have become part of the agricultural landscape. BCG wants to make sure these activities continue and are available for all farmers.
BCG has been a driving force behind research levies and funding being spent in the region, with a key aim of improving farming systems and farmer prosperity. Whilst BCG works with industry partners, researchers and other stakeholders, the corner stone of the operation is the farming community. BCG is reaching out to all farmers to strengthen its operations by becoming a member.
The more members the organisation has, the greater the ability to drive the agenda of agricultural research and extension being conducted in the region.
As an example of the benefits of membership, BCG is offering all farmers the chance to view one of the organisations most highly regarded publications Members Only Technical Bulletin – a specialised fortnightly publication specifically produced to provide timely, technical and topical agricultural information.
This highly regarded publication provides updates on important considerations to help farmers make the best decisions for their operations during the growing season.
