BCG is excited to welcome Anna Marcus to the team as a research officer. Anna is no stranger to BCG, playing an integral role in the 2023 harvest as a harvest casual.
What is your background?
I grew up on a family farm in Penola, South Australia and have always had a passion for agriculture. I have recently completed my Diploma of Applied Agronomy and Diploma of Agribusiness Management.
What is your role at BCG and what will you be doing?
I have recently joined BCG’s research department and will be working with the team to conduct trials and research.
What about the role interested you in applying?
I have always had a keen interest in agriculture and wanted to contribute to the advancement of farming families and communities. I find the research conducted by BCG highly rewarding as it assists growers in improving their farming practices.
What do you hope to achieve in your role?
At BCG, I hope to conduct research that is relevant, highly rewarding, and valuable to farmers in the Mallee/Wimmera districts.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to keep busy whether that be socialising or playing netball for my local team. I also have an interest in horse riding and football.
What are you looking forward to whilst working at BCG?
As I am not from the area I look forward to making strong connections with the community and having the opportunity to expand my knowledge in agronomy and agriculture practices.
