^ Currently undergoing malting accreditation
- Fathom, Spartacus CL and Rosalind were the highest yielding varieties.
- Lodging and severe head loss occurred in Compass and Scope CL due to weather damage prior to harvest. Further head loss assessments will be conducted and reported in the BCG 2016 Season Research Results compendium.
- Due to secondary tillers, barley harvest logistics are proving challenging.
See the ‘delayed harvest and sprouting tolerance in barley’ article in the BCG 2015 Season Research Results compendium for further information on variety prioritisation, pp. 40.
