Meet the team: Megane Greenaway

What is your background?

I grew up in Yarram on my family’s dairy farm. I completed Diploma of General Studies at the University of Melbourne, where I continued to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture majoring in Production Animal Sciences. I studied at both Dookie and Melbourne campuses.

Previously I worked at GrainFlow for a few years, and had also joined BCG as a casual a few months prior to joining full-time.

What is your role at BCG and what will you be doing?

My role is Technical Research Assistant, where I will be helping the research team complete operational tasks such as soil sampling, urea spreading and spraying.

What about the role interested you in applying?

This role allows me to be hands-on with the trials that BCG undertake. My previous roles have allowed me to see the grain industry after the crops have been harvested, this role now allows me to see the process from start to finish, which I am most excited about seeing in this role.

What are your interests outside work?

Outside of work I like to play netball for the Bulls, cooking, reading, camping and exploring the region I now call home.

What are you looking forward to whilst working at BCG?

I’m looking forward to seeing a different part of the grain industry and learning as much as I can while I’m working with the team.
