What is your background?Â
My name is Zoe, and I come from a merino stud and cropping farm in Ouyen. I’ve recently completed my Bachelor of Agriculture at the University of Melbourne. Â
What is your role at BCG?Â
My main responsibilities will be conducting grain analysis tests on the samples harvested by the BCG team. I’ll also be working with soil samples and spending time out in the paddock when required.Â
What about the role interested you in applying?Â
I have three years’ experience in grain analysis through harvest roles with Grain Corp, and I looking for something different that could build upon my prior experience.Â
What are you looking forward to whilst working at BCG?Â
I’m looking forward to gaining industry experience now that I’ve finished my degree, as well as learning more about the research side of the grains industry. Â
What are your interests outside of work?Â
I love long distance running and playing netball. I completed my first half marathon this year! I’ve got two horses at home and ride when I can.Â
What’s next for you?Â
I have a keen interest in working with animals, so throughout my Bachelor of Agriculture I majored in Production Animal Science. Now that I’ve finished University I’m looking for a job in the industry – wherever that may take me!Â
