Alicia Gault has recently joined the BCG team and we are delighted to have her on board!
What is your background?
I originally am from Sale in Gippsland. While I grew up around agriculture on a family farm, my interest only sparked when I moved to Tamworth in high school and the only elective left was agriculture! This then led me to continue to study agriculture throughout the rest of high school and then into university, where I completed a Bachelor of Agriculture at the University of Melbourne.
Once I completed my degree in mid 2023, I moved into a role at Haeuslers, a John Deere dealer in Sea Lake. During my time at Haeuslers I worked as a digital consultant, helping farmers utilise John Deere’s platform, Operations Center and other third-party platforms.
What is your role at BCG and what will you be doing?
I am joining the extension team, where I will work as an extension officer, helping the team share the incredible research they do!
What about the role interested you in applying?
While I was studying at University, I heard great things about BCG and the work they do. When this role came up I thought it would be an amazing opportunity to be involved in such a well renowned organisation while also contributing to the community.
What are your interests outside work?
Outside of work I love going to the beach, cooking, reading, hiking, camping, exercising and spending time with friends and family, especially at the lake in summer! I also love to travel when I can.
What are you looking forward to whilst working at BCG?
The work at BCG makes a real difference to real people and I am excited to be apart of it. I’m also excited to work with a great team of staff.
