This position has responsibility for leading the management and implementation of the organisation’s nationally recognised communication and extension objectives of delivering high quality information and experience outcomes for the farming and wider agricultural community.

Desirable in the successful applicant will be:

  • A strong understanding and working knowledge of grain growing, mixed farming systems and rural communities.
  • Experience working in the agricultural sector, having developed a sound understanding of extending and  agricultural information to the farming community using a suite of strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to quickly changes ensuring program delivery occurs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proven communication skills as well as strong personal oral presentation and report writing capability.
  • Capacity to effectively access an industry network of researchers and agribusiness professionals to deliver projects.
  • A proven track record in maximising collaborative opportunities and developing programs while meeting key project deliverables.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work in a team or autonomously to achieve a desired outcome.
  • Project development and management.
  • The ability to bring a vision to life.
