Working within a highly energised team, the position has responsibility for coordinating and implementing the nationally recognised Birchip Cropping Group’s extension objectives of delivering high quality information and experience outcomes for the farming and wider agricultural community.
Desirable in the successful applicant will be:
- A strong understanding and working knowledge of grain growing, mixed farming systems and rural communities.
- up to 5 years experience working in the agricultural sector, having developed a sound understanding of extending agricultural information to the farming community.
- Capability to manage projects including direct liaison and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes impacting program delivery in a timely and professional manner.
- Proven communication skills with farmers, industry partners and project teams as well as strong personal oral presentation and report writing capability.
- A proven track record in maximising collaborative opportunities and developing programs while meeting key project deliverables.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work in a team or autonomously to achieve a desired outcome.
- The ability to bring a vision to life within budget constraints.
