Yield Prophet® has been named one of Australia’s 100 most innovative products in the Australian Anthill Magazines ‘SMART 100’ Index. The index is one of the largest innovation awards of its kind in Australia with the awards process spanning over six months and harnessing the power of 1,600 ‘mavens’ identified to judge the 861 products entered.
Yield Prophet® and its partners are delighted that the online cropping decision support tool has been recognised as one of the leading innovations in Australia. Members of the Yield Prophet team attended a ceremony to announce the winners of the SMART 100 held in Melbourne on Thursday 9 April.
The Yield Prophet® team is consistently involved in research and development that will improve the accuracy and efficiency of the simulator. Planned projects for 2009 will consider the development of a system of rapid appraisal of soil characteristics, refinement of existing crop phenology, addition of new crop modules, and continued provision of soil water workshops for growers and consultants across Australia.
