BCG is hosting free GRDC SPAA Hands-On Precision Agriculture Training at Pyramid Hill (9 Aug), Longerenong (11 Aug) and Sea Lake (12 Aug) from 9am to 3pm. To gain hands-on experience with a range of PA technologies and learn how to use them to improve farm productivity and profitability, register now at bcg.org.au/events
The free workshops are part of a large national SPAA project funded by GRDC. They will be facilitated by renowned precision agriculture (PA) consultant and farmer, Adrian Roles.
Topics and experience level
Adrian, who has facilitated the past two years of workshops said this year’s events would be suited to those new to PA as well as those who have more experience: “Attendees will gain hands-on experience in downloading and cleaning data, creating yield maps, creating prescriptions, profit mapping and multi-year analysis. For those that already know the basics there will also be the opportunity to delve deeper into how they can use PA to further improve profitability and aid decision making.”
Data sets
Throughout the workshops there will be opportunities for attendees to work with their own data sets (bring your USB along).
Local dealers, PA consultants and software providers will also be at the workshops to help answer your PA questions or troubleshoot any issues you have with your PA equipment.
Workshops are also being held in Yarrawonga on August 8 and Inverleigh August 10 and will be hosted by Riverine Plains and Southern Farming Systems respectively. All attendees will be offered a SPAA membership. To register for all events visit bcg.org.au/events or call (03) 5492 2787.
