Birchip Cropping Group is looking forward to welcoming you to Main Field Day, Wednesday, 9 September. We’re encouraging attendees to plan their trip to ensure they can arrive on time and take full advantage of the activities on offer in the 2026 program.
Some roads leading to the site of the 2026 BCG Main Field Day, are unsealed and with consistent wet weather, dropping a pin into your satellite navigation system might lead to you getting bogged!
Please access the BCG Main Site, by travelling west along the Curyo West Road which is bitumen all the way. Accessing the site from the east is via an unsealed road and Lehmann Road, near the main site, is also unsealed.
The bitumen roads we suggest, from various directions, are:
- From the Hopetoun direction, go to Woomelang first, travel south along the Sunraysia Highway, turn south onto the Wilkur-Watchupga Road until you reach the Curyo West Road and head west to the main site.
- From the Beulah direction, travel east along the Birchip-Beulah Road then turn north along the Wilkur-Watchupga Rd until you reach the Curyo West Road and head west to the main site.
- From the Birchip direction, travel north along the Sunraysia Highway until you reach the Curyo silos then head west for approx 14 km along the Curyo West Road to the main site.
Look out for signage along the roadside. We strongly advise you do not to take any unsealed roads. Checking the VicRoads, VicTraffic app is another resource to check for planned roadworks or road closures
