Ben Edelsten is a new member of the BCG team and we’re delighted to have him with us!
What is your background?
I am a mixed sheep and cropping farmer from Kooloonong, Victoria. I have attended Longerenong College where I studied an Advanced Diploma of Agribusiness Management and a Diploma of Applied Agronomy.
What is your role at BCG and what will you be doing?
My role at BCG is Research Agronomist, where I will be involved in a variety of research projects. I will also be supporting the technical team with machinery maintenance and repairs when required.
What about the role interested you in applying?
I’m interested in working with research trials, and had been recommended to BCG by a number of other farmers and agronomists. BCG’s reputation has always stood out to me and I’m keen to be a part of the team that delivers research to the region.
What are your interests outside work?
I like to be active outside of work and particularly enjoy skiing and football. I also enjoy riding motorbikes and am interested in cars.
What are you looking forward to whilst working at BCG?
Birchip is a great community and I’m happy to be a part of it. I’m excited to learn new things and meet new people, the BCG team has been great to work with.
